Robbers they are for real

This company deserves a zero and a no star. They rip you off with your belongings and steal and go through all your stuff to take and then deliver your belongings with other people's belongings and get all mixed up with other people belongings and get other people stuff and the other people gets your stuff. They stolen a rollaway craftmans toolbox loaded with expensive tools worth over $10,000 and went through all of our dresser drawers and stolen all of our carheart pants and lost a lot of our furniture which most likely went to other people. Yard equipment gone and 4 boxes of air hoses and more tools and broke our piano legs and dishes and mirrors and clocks and Tupperware missing. 3 bothers told me that they will deliver our belongings from Arizona to Carolinas for $3,150. Later found out the hired 500 moving company to move our belongings. Asked 3 brothers for our money back and they said no. No refund passed 2 days. 500 moving came and said it will cost $5,800 more. I said no way i refuse. 6 guys were loading my belongings anyway while i was refusing. The inventory man said that I will lose my $3150 and will cost more with uhaul plus load everything my self, i said only $5,800.00 that's it right? He said yes thst is it. Half way through the inventory man changed the price to $8,500 said we had a lot of furniture. He knew that all ready from the beginning. I said refused and told them to give me back my furniture he said no not until i pay the $8,500. What a rip off. Robbers they are. My furniture was being held for ransom and against my will. I was trapped and robbed. I had no choice and against my will i signed and agreed to the amount. All furniture was put on the truck and the the inventory man said he has to increase the price from $8,500.00 to $11, 800 for the move. They had all my belongings. I was forced to pay that amount. So i was ripped off $ 11,800 + $3,150.00. Plus of all that was stolen and MIA and broken items plus not delivering on time which was 2 weeks late, with us sleeping on the floor and no pans and dishes, no beds, no nothing. I hired a lawyer and was told it would break me financially to sue them. Something needs to be done. It isn't fair that i can't get my money back and all that they have stolen from me. warning to all. Don't hire these people they will rip you all every way they can.

Great Move!!

I move from AZ to CA. This is my 1st time using a moving company and I have to say this was a great move and stress free form me that was the most important part. My belongings were picked up and deliver fast and in good condition. I was a little scared of using a moving company because I went online and read some horrible stuff but I took a chance with this company and I made the right decision. I really recommend this company if you want to move.

Would not recommend to anyone.

500 Move Relocation Network aka 1st Choice Moving company aka USA Moving & Storage

Do not use this company. In the beginning, I was in contact with a lady named Britney that was great; she was friendly, flexible, and gave off good vibes. She quoted me for my move and on the day the movers came, they told me they had to charge me more to appropriately wrap my belongings to prevent damage. The total came out to $788.64 more than the original quote. When I was ready for my belongings (I moved out of state), I called Britney and she told me she’d have to look into the schedule to see how soon my stuff could be transported; she said a lady named Maria would call me later on to discuss. I let her know I didn’t want to secure a storage unit until I knew when my stuff would arrive so I wasn’t paying for an empty storage unit. This was on a Wednesday. I did not hear back and assumed they were just busy. I called the following Monday and Britney said she didn’t have any updates for me but would have Maria call me back as soon as she got into the office. I did not receive any call backs. Tuesday came and a man called stating he was nearby with my stuff; since this was unexpected and no one communicated with me, we agreed he would deliver my belongings the following day so I had time to make arrangements. He texted me at 10pm that same night asking if I can meet him at the storage unit at 8am the following day; I agreed. I went to the storage facility at 750am and waited. He did not show. I texted him a little after 8am and he responded, stating they just woke up and he’d be there in an hour and a half. I was annoyed but there was nothing I could do. He still came late and the gentleman he was with made casual conversation with me; he said they met with his parents and had breakfast this morning. I was a bit offended as it sounded like they could have notified me ahead of time that they were going to be late so I didn’t waste my time going to the storage facility at 8am. They unloaded my stuff and to my disappointment, many of my brand new pieces of furniture were broken and damaged. Boxes that were marked “fragile” were squished and in poor condition. I was making notes of this and taking pictures and the man said to me, “They aren’t going to care about your damaged boxes.” After they unloaded my stuff, I called Britney, extremely upset, and she told me she’d have Maria call me back to file a claim. Still have not heard anything from them. Britney was great until the company had my possessions; she then had a very different attitude and always brushed me off, claiming this Maria person would call me, which never happened. Absolutely poor customer service and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

Disappointed

I am in disbelief with this company. First, the price increased 50% from the initial quote. Next, when things arrived I was charged additional fees because the movers claim their truck could not enter storage facility. However, I confirmed with the company before renting the storage that an 18-wheeler would have access. To add insult to injury, I was told I can “come get my things to avoid any fees.” Finally, several designer shoes were stolen from boxes. You will find similar stories on BBB, Yelp, and Google. #disappointed

THIEVES and SCAMMERS

Increased cost of move upon arrival to load items, by several thousand dollars. Items arrived and diamond ring and wedding band stolen. Several boxes ripped open, tape cut, etc. Did NOT send anyone but a driver to unload and expected us to have labor to unload. Also uses multiple other businesses names under one DOT #. Stay far away!!! Police report has been filed!

Pay more, they will damage your items and not pay. Raise prices, rude, unprofessional, I wish we had used a real moving company. So disappointed and this was of all the moves we’ve done been the only one I am leaving a bad review about. My husband is in the hotel business and we’ve moved a lot but this scam company will screw you all along the way. Terrible

Long-distance move from Phoenix, AZ to Lorain, OH

Avoid this mover.

Loads are not separated. There were items from other people mixed in such as a table base and bed foot board to name only 2. Items were switched such as my wooden book shelf for a particle board and lamps. Missing items such as my garden decor, cleaning implements and other specialty items. Several broken bins and book shelves. I feel as if I’ve been robbed. The only response was a complaint by the driver about how inconvenient it was for him to reload the other families’ items and that a “3rd party” would handle any losses. They did assemble bed and table, but refused to take all the resultant garbage including card board, plastic and bubble wrap. There was an attempt at stickered inventory but it was incomplete and not referred to upon delivery. I was not given a copy. Overall, it is obvious that this company did not care for my home items and had little concern that items were delivered appropriately meaning to the correct place. No concern for return of misdelivered items from or to others was expressed. Expect loss with these movers. Not recommended.

Long-distance move from Tempe, AZ to Lexington Park, MD

Worst service ever!!

The moving company’s driver that they sent to me said with the little bit of extra and having to pack the TV for me (which I had called and agreed upon before hand, so $80 to pack it) it would cost $180 extra (so $100 for a little extra space). I agreed to that but said I only had the 550.33 that I was told to have in cash to hand the driver, so I just asked if he could see if we could stick to me giving him the $550.33 that I had in hand and I would give the rest in cash when they dropped it off. After calling his boss, the driver comes back in and says “for moving that far, my boss says we can’t do it for less than $2,000 with 60% right now”. Which had nothing to do with the fact that I had a little more, and was all about the owner not liking how much he was doing this for in the first place (which the owner straight up tells me on the phone later). I tried talking to his boss who says I shouldn’t have gone with a broker like I did and called a moving company myself and I wouldn’t be in this mess. He says he can’t make money for anything less than $2,000. I said “what about the $1,600 I agreed upon with you guys” and he says he doesn’t care. So I asked “what if I get everything down to the original square footage that was agreed upon for $1,600”? He says I’ll have to leave a bunch of stuff behind. The owner was then EXTREMELY RUDE and says “this conversation isn’t worth my time and money I’m wasting talking to you”! Who the [EDIT] says that to a customer!? I was completely polite the entire time and didn’t deserve any of that! I asked him about working towards the $1,780 that I worked out with the driver and he then tells me he doesn’t want to talk to me anymore and to hand the phone over to the driver. The driver talks to him and says his boss says it’s not worth it and they are leaving and I should call someone else. I was then stranded and forced to Uhaul everything across the country myself. WORST COMPANY EVER!! DO NOT USE THEM!! They will screw you over if they think it’ll save them some money.

Terrible Moving Experience.

Stay away!! They brokered our move to the lowest bidder for $2,300 and charged us $4,000. Late delivery, damaged, lost articles. Rob Kohn said he did not have to follow contract because he was contracted by 500 Move and not us. Forced delivery on Saturday while we had written on the contract Sat loading dock is closed. We were told take it or it will be an extra $1500 or they can drop it off out front. Had to pay cash (not check or credit card) before they would open the truck so we couldn't even inspect before paying in full. Of the 4 items delivered, one 200 year old amour was laid on it's back and other furniture piled on top. Damaged beyond repair. The other 150 year old table did not have all delivered so it is useless as well. Claim submitted but told it could take 90 days. I don't believe they'll do anything. If you value your furniture - take it to a reputable mover. If not, just throw it out and buy new when you get to your new place - it's what you'll have to do anyway if you use this company. Totally unprofessional. Don't be another victim.

Please think twice or maybe a dozen times.

I move from AZ to OR. They broke a few things but the biggest issue is they lost 10 boxes. That's right, not 1 but 10. makes you question their honesty. Speaking to their management a woman by the name of Maria, she advised me she would check her lost and found. That's right they have a ware house full of lost and found items that they have not bothered getting back to their customers. In my 10 boxes were pictures, keep sake, cloths. DVDs and household items. some of these things can not be replaced. They have given up on locating my boxes. It did not seem to me that they put any effort into locating my boxes. They did the bait and switch on us. For the price I paid you would think that I would at least get all my belongings. This company sucks and if you care about your belongings you will not use them.

Interstate move.

This sounds very familiar. That’s their business model: they quote you a price lower than anybody else but still make a healthy profit on it because they use dirt-cheep subcontractors (the ones who actually deliver stuff to you). The only way for these subcontractors to make a profit is to steal your things and extort extra money from you on delivery (paid upfront, of course - before you know that a lot of your stuff is missing).
500 Move is a fraudulent operation. People who work there know perfectly well what is going on but all they care about is just their salaries and bonuses.
500 Move has a very good salesperson. His name is Ely Pazur. He has a very convincing phone personality and sounds like somebody you can trust - the worst kind. He knows perfectly well what is going on but still he sells you the “service”: he just does not care what financial loss and emotional pain he inflicts on his customers. He and other crooks from 500Move should be stopped. I would happily support any individual or class action lawsuit against the company.

Long-distance move from Phoenix, AZ to New York, NY

Highly Recommend.

I used 500 move for my relocation to NY, from start to end, everything was perfect. The phone estimator Lisa answered all of my questions, and I had a lot of them due to a harebell experience with a different company I used before, this time I understand all the additional and I had one at the delivery location, but I knew about it, the estimator didn't "hide" non of the charges/company policy. Items picked up on time and professionally those guys know the job, arrived on time as promised, all the items placed in my new location reassembled, and took all the used boxes and the used packing materials with them. In general, I am very pleased with 500 move services and will definitely use them again. Thank You.

Long-distance move from Surprise, AZ to Portland, OR

Grateful.

My experience planning a move from Surprise AZ to Portland OR has been a nightmare EXCEPT for the assistance I received from Ely Pazur @500Move. Another company put me in an extremely difficult, frustrating situation, causing me to look for a second moving company. Enter 500Move. Ely listened to my concerns and was competent in finding a plan to fit my needs. No pressure, no lies. Surprisingly, my situation changed and I cancelled the contract. Another surprise, my deposit was refunded the next day. Ely's integrity and genuine kindness makes me feel valued as a customer and restores my trust.

I'm grateful to 500Move and Ely Pazur for providing an honest service. Thank you!

DON'T DO IT

I wish I could do less than a star!

I hired 500move a year ago for a relocation move to Kansas. They jacked up the price $1,000 when they picked my stuff up. There were items that needed to be in boxes that I had been told in advance they would pack, they didn't and they were destroyed. I was told I had up to 90 days to file a claim on anything I found broken as I unpacked. When I did, they denied the claim. I had a brand new washing machine that was delivered with a dent. However, because of how they stacked it in the house, I couldn't see the dent until daylight the next day. I had a $150 aluminum ladder that was only months old that wasn't delivered. The driver took me out to the truck, pointed at my ladder and said it was someone else's. They promised for nine months that it was on the next truck from the "warehouse" .. never got it. They promised to pay $100 for it... never got it. When I filed a claim for arbitration, they completely and totally lied to the arbitrator.

The entire operation is ridiculous! They rush you about just to get in and out with all the damage they cause in between. In short, they caused $1,300 in damage and theft losses. Pass them!

Long-distance move from Phoenix, AZ to Chicago, IL

This company is a fraud, liars and cheaters!!!!

Anthony Ayala is a very great salesperson. He knows how to get the sale. He always tries to give you very low amount to get the sales. He sends you the worksheet for Kitchen, Livingroom, Bedrooms, Appliances, Different sizes of Pianos, Different sizes of boxes (S, M, L, XL, Wardrobe boxes etc.) Everything is asked on this sheet are very specific. Once you fill out and send him the worksheet, he gives you the lowest amount to get your sale. Fun part starts the day when moving people arrive with one supervisor. That supervisor sees the same stuff listed on a sheet then tells you that he's the boss and he's even the boss of Anthony Ayala. This boss tells me that Anthony Ayala doesn't know anything and he is dumb. I moved from Phoenix, AZ to Chicago, IL. After I even filled out that worksheet, Anthony Ayala sent me email back and forth to ask me the size of my deep freezer, the bird cages, and other items as well. It was very specific transaction. Anthony Ayala quoted me the price of $2,800. The supervisor who came was very very rude, illiterate said to me that he's the boss of Anthony Ayala and Anthony Ayala is dumb doesn't know what he's doing. He told the price is $3,600. He threatened me if I wanted them to pick up stuff that's the price will be; otherwise, they have more jobs to go. I tried to call Anthony Ayala. This supervisor said it's too early and Anthony comes office at 10:00 am. It was 7:30 am. After much arguments, he told me the final and last price was $3,300. He gave me 5 minutes to answer. It was last day, learned lesson the hard way had to accept it. Story short they took my stuff, Anthony Ayala told me it'll take 2 weeks for the stuff to arrive. That's a lie too!! It's way more passed than 2 weeks, nothing arrived yet. I would like to suggest everyone if you even decide to move with this company, please allow 5 days to yourself for them to pick up your stuff. Let's say if you have to move by July 30th, give them the date of July 25th. Because if they come to pick up your stuff on 25th and tell you the different price then you will have enough time to contact different companies to move your stuff. Then I would suggest to go with highly rated companies like Eagle moving group. Certainly their prices will be little higher than what was quoted by 500Move, but you certainly will get better service. I really regret declining their quoted price. It was only because Anthony Ayala quoted me lesser price.

Long-distance move from Mesa, AZ to Monument, CO

Scammers! Crooks! Liars!! Don't use them!!!!!

SCAM ARTISTS BEWARE DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! It was the most stressful and worst 3 months ever! When I 1st scheduled them, they had me go through all my rooms and say all the furniture and the size of the home with beds and baths. They quoted me $4300.00 which included 1 month storage in climate control and transporting our stuff from AZ to CO. This price was supposed to include professional disassembly and assembly of our pool table. They are the experts so I assume they know their business and around how much furniture and boxes that would be because of course I was not fully packed yet and didn't know how many boxes I would have. On the day of moving, they showed up on time, and started to walk the entire home with me 1st. I use trash bags to move cloths and shoes and was told that they needed to be boxed and actually everything but furniture must be in a box which was never told to me as there are some items that just don't really make sense to go in a box. So, they were going to have to charge me packing materials and packing fees. But that was not all, before they even started, they told me that my price more than doubled for the move! I was shocked and of course a rock in a hard spot had to move that day of course. I was livid and even started saying I asked for a walk-through even to be sure on price but of course they said they don't do that. So now my price was up to $11,575.00 for the move and having nowhere else to turn to since I had to move that day...I agreed to it but asking like 3 times that it was the final amount and they said yes (when will I learn to record conversations like this!!!!). My new home has a long driveway so I immediately pulled up pictures to show them to be sure that was all I was going to be charged and they said yes...but of course I should have been recording that conversation. They give you a 30-day window to schedule the delivery and we chose the last weekend of that time because we were not able to get into our new house right away and utilized their storage option. So, of course in the fine print it says that our delivery can be 45 days past the requested delivery date and yes it took the full time of 45 days past our delivery date. We were lucky that we were staying with family the whole time but can't imagine if we had to stay in a hotel that whole time. The delivery date finally arrived and the counterpart moving company in town called and said they looked up our address and were concerned about the driveway because they have an 18-wheeler and of course that would not go up our driveway. So, I said I would go ahead and rent a U-Haul to move our stuff up and down the driveway which we did. They also said it was going to be an additional $650 which I was stumped at because I was renting the U-Haul for that reason. I told him about our experience at the beginning and how we were already charged more than double but he said that was the best he could do. So, we reluctantly agreed because they have our stuff. When they arrived the price again changed to $800 now and they would not start until we paid! Then another blow was that they would not put together our pool table but of course the price didn't change from that either! The only good thing I can say is that they at least came with 6 movers and so our move was done in 3 hours, but that did come with heavy handling of our boxes and items got broke including one of our 3-piece slate for the pool table! Back to the climate-controlled storage...all my candles are warped and melted, and other items were ruined because of it. This company are CROOKS and will keep increasing the price on you over and over. All I can say is please don't use them! You’ll regret it the entire time! 500Move is the worst moving company ever! Stay away and save your money and sanity!!!!!!

Fraud

Do not book your move with this company. They are pure bait and switch. When we called to ask about our stuff Anthony did nothing but yell at me. They picked up our stuff one week ago stating they needed a week to get it from Phoenix to Mississippi. We closed today and called them. We were given every run around and our stuff is still in Arizona. They don’t plan to leave for 3 more days. Also, the first quote they gave us was $3100. Then it increase to $4500. Then when they came to get our stuff they said couch, fridge and desk bigger than they expected so it went to $6600. Now we are sitting in a house with no bed, no furniture and unsure if they will deliver. Anthony is pure fraud! He made so many promises and did not fulfill.
